Little more than two years after his in-womb introduction to The Beatles, J.P. was adding harmonies as his dad played guitar and sang. Following an up-and-down Little League baseball career, J.P. began singing professionally in his early teens. In more than two decades of experience as a New York recording session singer, J.P.’s voice has appeared on a Billboard #1 Gold record, a major studio motion picture, and dozens of national and international television and radio commercials for GE, AT&T, Toyota, Sprite, L'Oreal, and Kay Jewelers, among others. You may also have seen J.P. backing Weird Al Yankovic on the simultaneously hilarious and terrifying North Korea episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
J.P.'s musical theatre career, including roles in New York and regional productions, and high-profile charity concerts, gave him the opportunity - while still in his teens - to work with several Tony winners and nominees. J.P. also originated the role of Prince William in the first musical about the life of Princess Diana - an achievement for which he did not receive an MBE.
As a member of famed collegiate a cappella groups, the Yale Whiffenpoofs and the Yale Spizzwinks(?), J.P. brought his distinctive pop and soul riffs to six continents. His audiences included white tuxedo-clad Gonzo-authors, presidential candidates, prime ministers, Malaysian pop stars, and countless awestruck teeny-boppers.
